A Fantasy Based on Reality: Final Fantasy series shines a different light with the release of its newest title-Final Fantasy XV. Brilliant gameplay innovations, ever improving stunning graphical animations and a gripping storyline is a formula that kept the series’ name resounding over the years. A Gripping Story: Follow Noctis Lucis Caelum, the Prince of a mafia-like family who has a special ability brought about by an accident that enables him to see a person death. As well, Noctis is the ruler of the city-like country which is the only technologically advanced location at that time. A cold war has built up over the years as nations try to take possession of the crystals of which the last one is under Noctis's possession. Time passes, and as this cold war nears its end, the nation Niflheim attacks Noctis's land in wanting to take possession of the last crystal. With this imposed danger, Noctis and his friends must exhaust all their abilities and special powers in hopes of ending this impending catastrophe that threatens not only his land but all of the other nations as well. Seamless Battle Systems: Final Fantasy XV brilliantly blends new concepts along with the signature combat system Final Fantasy titles have been known for. Players can now experience a seamless battle that has no transition load times. Battle pace and actions that are familiar to previous titles are also mixed with new mechanics. Enjoy different kinds of characters with unique abilities and weaponry that have customization elements. Immerse Game World Experience: Discover a huge world map that is like the 2D Final Fantasy games viewed in high definition third-person perspective. It is a time of unrest in 1920s Europa. The ashes from the first great war still darken the snow. The capitalistic city-state known simply as The Factory, which fueled the war with heavily armored mechs, has closed its doors, drawing the attention of several nearby countries.Scythe (1-5 players, 115 minutes) is a board game set in an alternate-history 1920s period. It is a time of farming and war, broken hearts and rusted gears, innovation and valor. In Scythe, each player represents a fallen leader attempting to restore their honor and lead their faction to power in Eastern Europa. Players conquer territory, enlist new recruits, reap resources, gain villagers, build structures, and activate monstrous mechs. Each player begins the game with different resources (strength, victory points, movement capabilities, and popularity), their choice of several faction-specific abilities, and a hidden goal. Starting positions are specially calibrated to contribute to each factions uniqueness and the asymmetrical nature of the game.Scythe gives players almost complete control over their fate. Other than each players individual hidden objective card, the only elements of luck are encounter cards that players will draw as they interact with the citizens of newly explored lands and combat cards that give you a temporary boost in combat. Combat is also driven by choices, not luck or randomness.Scythe uses a streamlined action-selection mechanism (no rounds or phases) to keep gameplay moving at a brisk pace and reduce downtime between turns. While there is plenty of direct conflict, there is no player elimination, nor can units be killed or destroyed.Every part of Scythe has an aspect of engine-building to it. Players can upgrade actions to become more efficient, build structures that improve their position on the map, enlist new recruits to enhance character abilities, activate mechs to deter opponents from invading, and expand their borders to reap greater types and quantities of resources. These engine-building aspects create a sense of momentum and progress throughout the game. The order in which players improve their engine adds to the unique feel of each game, even when playing one faction multiple times.
Scientist Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) has, to put it mildly, anger management issues. His quiet life as a brilliant researcher working with cutting edge genetic technology conceals a nearly forgotten and painful past. His ex-girlfriend and equally brilliant fellow researcher, Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), has tired of Bruce's cordoned off emotional terrain and resigns herself to remaining an interested onlooker to his quiet life. Which is exactly where Betty finds herself during one of the early trials in Banner's groundbreaking research. A simple oversight leads to an explosive situation and Bruce makes a split-second decision; his heroic impulse saves a life and leaves him apparently unscathed-his body absorbing a normally deadly dose of gamma radiation.Acclaimed Oscar-winning filmmaker Ang Lee turns his masterful eye to adapting the classic Marvel Comics character for the big screen. Setting out to faithfully transfer the Hulk comic book character from four-color paneled page to motion picture screen, Lee combines all the elements of a blockbuster visual effects-intensive superhero movie with the brooding romance and tragedy of Universal's classic horror films. Staying true to the early subversive spirit of the Hulk as envisioned by its creators (Stan Lee and Jack Kirby) while also tuning the tale to current dangerous times, Lee presents a portrait of a man at war with himself and the world, both a superhero and a monster, a means of wish fulfillment and a nightmare... Nun inszeniert Antoine Fuqua („Training Day“, „The Equalizer“) das Remake des klassischen Westerns. Dabei besetzte er abermals Oscar-Preisträger Denzel Washington in einer Hauptrolle als den Anführer der glorreichen Sieben. Weitere Hollywood-Größen sind mit Chris Pratt („Guardians of the Galaxy“), Ethan Hawke („Boyhood“) und Peter Sarsgaard („Jarhead“), Haley Bennett („Hardcore“) mit an Bord.Originaltitle: The Magnificent Seven, 2016Blu-ray & UHD Special Features:Directing the Seven featuretteRogue Bogue featuretteThe Seven featuretteMagnificent Music featuretteExclusive to Blu-ray & UHD – Vengeance Mode with Antoine Fuqua and The Seven – “The Seven” and director Antoine Fuqua break down key scenes and discuss making this extraordinary film.Exclusive to Blu-ray & UHD – Deleted ScenesExclusive to Blu-ray & UHD – Gunslingers featuretteExclusive to Blu-ray & UHD – The Taking of Rose Creek featuretteBONUS DISC (included with Blu-ray, UHD and Day Zero Limited Edition SKUs)SEVEN TALES OF MAKING THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN – BONUS DISCA unique perspective on the making of this epic film, seven tales that will take you inside the world of the movie. In the post-war years, the proliferation of transnational European co-productions gave rise to a cross-pollination of genres, with the same films sold in different markets as belonging to different movements. Among these, Riccardo Freda (I vampiri, The Horrible Dr. Hichock)’s Double Face was marketed in West Germany as an Edgar Wallace ‘krimi’, while in Italy it was sold as a giallo in the tradition of Mario Bava’s Blood and Black Lace, combining elements from both genres for a unique and unforgettable viewing experience. When wealthy businessman John Alexander (the legendary Klaus Kinski, giving an atypically restrained performance)’s unfaithful wife Helen (Margaret Lee, Circus of Fear) dies in a car crash, it initially looks like a freak accident. However, the plot thickens when evidence arises suggesting that the car was tampered with prior to the crash. And John’s entire perception of reality is thrown into doubt when he discovers a recently-shot pornographic movie which appears to feature Helen – suggesting that she is in fact alive and playing an elaborate mind game on him… Psychological, psychedelic, and at times just plain psychotic, Double Face stands as one of the most engaging and enjoyable films in Freda’s lengthy and diverse career – a densely-plotted, visually-stunning giallo that evokes much of the same ambience of paranoia and decadence as such classics of the genre as One on Top of the Other and A Lizard in a Woman’s Skin.
